Arrangement of concrete caps

Cap is a required element of any floor, which serves for levelling or stiffening of the surface, and also for providing for floor heat absorption. Caps are placed on top of covering or heat-insulating or soundproof layers.

On the principle of laying we perform single-layer or multilayer caps, which are traditionally made of cement-sand grout, and also of plaster or anhydride compositions. In which case a single-layer cap shall have one layer of required thickness. Multilayer cap consists of two or more layers, and each layer must have cohesion with previous layers.

Among shortcoming of solid caps we can mention necessity to mature them for development of strength and to remove moisture prior to laying of the finishing coat. All that extends the term of works connected with making of floor. But non-observance of such conditions may cause bad work.
